Rental Units in a Property
See all rental units of a building at a glance — area, rooms, subscription status — and navigate directly to each unit.
The Units tab lists all rental units assigned to this property. This is the building-level unit list — not the global rental units overview for the account. Here you can see at a glance how many units a building has, what floor space and room counts are available, and what subscription status each unit carries.
Common Tasks
- Add a new rental unit to this property
- Navigate to a rental unit's detail page
- Understand subscription status badges
- Understand the cards and fields
How To
Add a new rental unit
- Open the property's Units tab.
- Click + New Rental Unit (button in the top right of the header area).
- The unit creation form opens with the property assignment pre-filled.
- Example: New apartment "Unit 2a, 68 m², 3 rooms, ground floor" for property "Sample Lane 5, Munich" — you do not need to select the property again.
- Save — the unit appears immediately in the tab list.
Navigate to detail page
- Click the card of the desired rental unit.
- The rental unit detail page opens with all tabs (Overview, Listings, Documents, Notes, Tasks, History).
- Return to the property: browser back button or breadcrumb navigation.
Understand subscription status
The subscription status shows whether an active listing subscription currently exists for this rental unit:
- Active — a listing with a running subscription is linked; the unit is actively advertised.
- Paused — the subscription is temporarily suspended; no new applications.
- Inactive — no active subscription; the unit can still be rented out manually.
Views and Fields
Unit Card
Each rental unit appears as a card showing:
- Thumbnail image (or placeholder icon if no image uploaded)
- Unit name and optional unit number (e.g. "Apartment 2a (Ground-floor left)")
- Type badge (e.g. apartment, commercial, office)
- Subscription status badge (active, paused, inactive)
- Floor area in m² with unit (default: m²)
- Total room count
- Floor level (if entered)
Empty State
If no rental units have been created yet, a prompt appears with a Create rental unit button. The redirect leads to the creation form with the property assignment pre-filled — you do not need to select the property again.
Navigation Behaviour and Limitations
The units list uses a card layout, not a table. Sorting and filtering are available in the global rental units overview. For properties with many units, the global overview is recommended for bulk operations.
Audit and History
Changes to rental units (e.g. renaming, area changes) appear in the History tab of the respective rental unit — not in the property's History tab. For the property's own history navigate to the History tab of the property.
New units created from this tab appear in the new rental unit's own History tab as a creation event — not here.
Permissions and Multi-select
- Visible to: all team members of the owner account.
- Create a new unit: all team members.
- Edit units: via the detail page of the respective rental unit.
- Delete units: via the detail page of the respective rental unit — all team members.
- Multi-select: not available in this view. For bulk operations use the global rental units overview — filter by type, status, and property, sort by area.
